I am a practising Catholic and I was privileged to be invited to join the Governing body as a foundation governor in November 2011 by Father Duffy. I am appointed by the Bishop/Diocese in my role. I therefore have a keen interest in ensuring the Catholic faith is embedded in the teaching and running of the school. My Daughter attended St Benet’s and truly benefitted from the care, love, consideration and support she received and continues to receive by being a part of a Catholic Community. My term of office expires in January 2016.
My background is in HR and I currently work in the NHS. I believe that the skills, knowledge and experience I use in my job are of benefit in my role as a Governor and I have supported recruitment panels for the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and Teacher positions.
I am the chair of the Finance committee and also serve on the Admissions and Pay Review committees.
I have seen how hard all the staff at St Benet’s work together as a family to ensure that the school continues to be Outstanding, offering the very best education for our children. I feel proud to serve as a Governor at this wonderful school.
