Hello, my name is Catherine Young and I have been the head teacher here since September 2014. I feel extremely blessed to be the head teacher of such a fantastic, vibrant and forward thinking school and part of a loving and caring community. Each day I work with children, staff, parents, governors and other agencies so that all children are lead to success and happiness throughout their time at St Benet’s. In my own time I enjoy visiting new places and embracing new cultures.  I also enjoy keeping active by walking and climbing mountains.

My Favourite Children’s book…
As someone who loves a sense of adventure, my favourite book that I adored reading as a child and continue to love reading to younger children is Enid Blyton’s The Faraway Tree.

The thing I love most about St Benet’s is…
the warm and loving feel of welcome as you walk through the door. We are one family, a school family, God’s family and we endeavour to show support and love to all.
